Andrew Prickel - Catholic Speaker and Youth Minister

Born and raised in Indiana, Andrew was given the foundation of faith at an early age through his family upbringing and by going to daily Mass. In high school, though, the “god” he began to worship was football, as he devoted all his time and energy towards getting a scholarship to play in college. He was recruited to play football by over 30 schools and in the end decided to go to Indiana University to pursue football but God had others plans in store for him.

During his freshman year at Indiana University, Andrew had a deep encounter with the Lord at a retreat and decided he had to live completely for Christ. He decided to transfer to Franciscan University to follow the Lord and give up his pursuit of football. While at Franciscan University, Andrew joined a men’s group called the Knights of the Holy Queen whose mission is to give the greatest glory possible to the Lord by honoring Our Lady. He met weekly with his brothers for Mass, rosary, holy hour, and fellowship.

Upon completing his studies at Franciscan University and receiving his degree in Theology, Andrew began his ministry of reaching out to teens through retreats and events. He is faithful to the teachings of the Magisterium and brings a unique, relatable style to ministry that makes teenagers want to engage in a Church setting.

Andrew is currently serving as the Director of Youth Ministry at Immaculate Conception Parish in Norwood, NJ. He desperately wants people to know that we are in a spiritual battle and that souls are on the line so there is no time to waste. Andrew is passionate about bringing the message to all people, not just those who want to hear the message. He strongly believes that if we are going to be successful at the great task of evangelization, we must engage the culture and not run from it.
